About Us:

Welcome to the Echunga Country Fire Service Web Site.


What is now the Echunga CFS was originally founded in 1928 by a group of  local residents.  Unfortunately there is little known about those early days. 
We are located in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. 
Echunga CFS responds to many types of emergencies including House Fires, Factory and Industrial Fires, Road Accident Rescues, Wildfires, Flood and Storm Damage, Search and Rescue and animal rescues, We are a lot more diverse than just putting out fires!!
We also provide public fire education to local community and school groups, awareness programs and displays at public relations events such as the Royal Adelaide Show.

Echunga’s New Appliance

“Hino Pro-Range 8z” 34 – Delivered July 2007.
  This vehicle is a superior upgrade to our out-dated Hino single cab, The new vehicle is based on a Hino Pro-Ranger 8Z 4x4 Crew Cab which is powered by a 24v Intercooled turbo diesel 6 Cyl backed with a auto transmission. It has already been called the safest fire appliance in the world & comes with a long list of specialist features.



We hold training sessions every Monday night from 7.30 Pm, if you are interested in joining  please feel free to drop in during the evening  and we will be pleased to show you around
