Your brigade has now completed seventy years of community service and while volunteer members of the CFS rarely receive tangible rewards for their work, it was pleasing that the Chief Officer, Euan Ferguson accompanied by his wife Kristen, recognised 25 members in the presentation of service medals at a brigade Australia Day function at the Memorial Hall. We were very pleased that past Captains Barry , Peter  (now Heysen Group Officer), Phil  and John  were able to join us.

The awards were for:

10 YEARS CONTINUOUS SERVICE:

20 YEARS CONTIUOUS SERVICE:

30 YEARS CONTINUOUS SERVICE:

The Brigade recognised The outstanding dedication and commitment of the Schmidt Family to the Echunga Brigade by the presentation of a certificate of appreciation.

The Chief Officer presented the brigade with a plaque commemorating 70 years of service.

A good time was had by all!
